About

Son of A Pool Man

In the 1950’s our Grandfather Mike Williams opened “National Pool Equipment “on NW 2ND ST. In Ft. Lauderdale. We catered to the swimming pool professionals in south Florida and throughout the Caribbean islands. The local homeowners would also visit our store front to pick up their supplies and receive trusted advice from Mike. When Mike’s son took over the operations in the 1960’s the company expanded into manufacturing and distribution of pool equipment and the tradition of catering to the local homeowners continued from our bigger, better location on NW 7TH Ave. in Ft. Lauderdale. Here all the sons, daughters and cousins worked together to meet the needs of the local families.

Mike’s grandson Scott founded a Son of a pool man in the 1979 and is a FL. State certified swimming pool contractor and after 40 years of business Scott is still meeting the needs of swimming pool owners.

In this era of internet shopping many consumers still need a reliable source to recommend the correct products and provide professional installation services, and Scott will provide this for you and your family in the Port ST. Lucie area.

So, whether you purchased a product online that needs installation or you are having any pool related problems that need troubleshooting, Scott will personally assist you. Naturally he can supply all parts and equipment as well as expert installation services personally.

You’re in good hands with “A son of a pool man “

I don't know where to start. I never used Thumbtack before, or any other similar type of service. I purchased a new home with a pool. I selected a single contractor from Thumbtack for the job I needed. I sent a message to him, Scott. Scott immediately responded back with a message advising he wanted my job, providing his contact number. I called him and explained the service I needed. He advised that he could perform the services. We agreed upon a "ball-park" figure. We also agreed upon an appointment date and time. I then received a call back from him, advising that the figure he quoted was incorrect. The figure was actually lower. Who does that? Scott arrived on time, and made the necessary repairs. Over and above the work performed, he also educated me on my pool, specifically labeling the pool pump control levers so that I could maintain the pool myself. The price quoted was the price I paid. I'm hoping that I do not need any future pool repairs. But if I do, I will call Scott, and I recommend you do the same.
